A small island of Dodecanese. A land peel in the eastern edge of the Aegean sea hosts our dreams, challenge us to create and gives us generously its treasures.
In more details Lipsi are an island complex between the islands of Patmos and Leros. Here according to the last census live 792 resident citizens from which the 200 are children! The residents of the island occupy with the agriculture, the animal breeding and tourism professions, while on the island there is also some small businesses. The main products from Lipsi are thyme honey, meat, cheeze, yogurt, fruits and vegetables and offcourse wine. The connection with the port of Peireus is possible with one route per week that stops directly to the port of Lipsi or via Lerow or Patmos. The top of the top moments in the island's life is the celebration of the Madonna of Charos (Panagia tou Charou) that occures nine days after the Assumption of Mary on 22 & 23 of August each year where a circumambulation and pilgrimage of Her miraculous icon is beeing performed by the believers and a festival with music, food and drinks follows at the island's port.
Lipsi iland although it's small it has a lot to be proud of... Its history, its morals, manners and traditions, its friendly and smiling people, the delicacies and the treats of the reasturants and the housewifes, its neat accomodations, its peace and contact with the nature, its night life with traditional and modern sounds, its relegious atmosphere that is offered by the churches all around the island, its cleanliness and picturesqueness of the village, its unique beaches with the emeralds waters and much more...
